Helen and Pulkit had a very Sheffield wedding with loads of incredible locations spread throughout the city.
After getting ready in an Airbnb downtown, Helen and her bridesmaids walked to Sheffield Town Hall for their ceremony in the Hallam Room. The grade 1 listed building of Sheffield Town Hall is stunning, especially its central stairway. The ceremony rooms on the main floor are a bit more plain than the rest of the building, however there’s more than enough to work with in the rest of the building makes up for it.
One of the struggles with wedding planning is always working out the timings. Tamper Sellers Wheel isn’t available for hire until a little later in the day, and on a popular Saturday in May, there are only so many slots available at the Sheffield Registry Office. So Helen and Pulkit had a few hours in between their ceremony and reception that they needed to fill. They opted to do their family pictures in the Winter Garden next to Sheffield Town Hall and then headed to a private space booked at the Leopold Hotel a few blocks away. From here, everyone could relax, have a few drinks, and have the chance to say hello. They also took the opportunity to do their speeches at the Leopold Hotel.
Once Tamper Sellers Wheel was available, everyone made their way across Sheffield to the official reception. I took this chance to steal Helen and Pulkit for a short time to do their couples portraits on the streets of Sheffield. There were a lot of fantastic backgrounds to work with and even Helen picked out several buildings that she really wanted to have as part of her photos. Once we were done, all of the guests waited in the courtyard of Tamper Sellers Wheel to greet Helen and Pulkit with a big cheer as they entered.
Tamper Sellers Wheel was a lovely location for an evening wedding reception. The warehouse space had a really nice party atmosphere, and the private outdoor courtyard was fantastic for letting the reception feel open and to enjoy the weather. Helen and Pulkit hired an amazing DJ that did a fantastic job of mixing in Indian and English music.
Helen and Pulkit, thank you again for having me be a part of your day!
