The Henry Moore Studio Garden is hidden gem down some small country lanes. It’s off the beaten path a bit, even if it isn’t that far out of London. However, it makes discovering these gardens that much more magical.
It’s the former home of the iconic sculpture artist, and you’ll find that the location itself is an unusual wedding venue. And even though it has an events barn, it’s the seventy acres of gardens with Henry Moore’s modern sculptures nestled in places that makes it so unique. It a sprawling space that really allows your guests to explore the gardens and see what they can find.
Ellie and Tom had their wedding celebration on a beautiful Saturday afternoon in September and really wanted to make full use of the spaces in the Gardens. They had the ceremony in the barn, then set up a marquee in the garden for their wedding breakfast, then back into the barn for the dancing.
I really loved shooting this wedding and using the modern art and sculptures as a background frame the guests and the wedding. It was truly an inspirational space and venue, and I would love to shoot there again just to experience the magic all over.
