I can’t wait to show you Kate and Keith’s October Wedding at Upwaltham Barns in West Sussex. They really put together an awesome wedding with loads of style and character.
You’ll notice a fantastic blue mini popping out throughout the wedding. Keith’s grandfather bought the car new, and now both Keith, his father and his brother have restored the car and keep it in memory of him. It’s a beautiful car with loads of character and I love how they put so much effort to making sure it was apart of their wedding. There’s also a beautiful gold leaf brooch in borrowed from Kate’s Grandmother.
When we looked at Kate and Keith’s wedding schedule, we noticed that the sunset was during their wedding breakfast. I love that Kate and Keith were keen to catch the light while we had it, so we headed up the hill next to Upwaltham Barn and we were rewarded with the most fantastic sunset.
When it comes to wedding photography, there’s a mix between hard work and getting lucky. We could of made all of the effort to catch the sunset to be rewarded with nothing more than clouds and rain, or we could of had a fantastic sunset but not made the effort to plan to escape the wedding breakfast. Sometimes the “god’s of photography” give you a gift if you make the effort to jump up from your meal and catch the light. So you’ll notice a lot of sunset wedding photos on this post, I couldn’t pick just one to feature.
Upwaltham Barns was a fantastic barn wedding venue to photograph in. It really had the perfect mix of character, excellent staff, and a fantastic layout.
Kate and Keith- Thank you so much for having me be there to photograph your amazing wedding day. Everything worked out so well and I’m so honoured to be apart of it.
