This last September, my second shooter Irene, and I headed down to Cornwall for the weekend to photograph the wedding of the amazing Sophia and James. They fell in love with Polhawm Fort for their wedding, and it’s easy to see why. It’s a unique historical venue with the most amazing view over the cornish cliffs.
Both James and Sophia got ready at Polhawm Fort. Their ceremony was able to be held outdoors and featured loads of sunshine and live music. After the ceremony, everyone just took a few steps to continue to enjoy the day in the sunshine and have a drink overlooking the cliffs and sea.
During the break between the ceremony and the meal, we headed down the step stairs from the top to the beach. It’s not the easiest hike down to the water in wedding dress but Sophia didn’t let the little hike fade her in the slightest, and we were treated with the most outstandingly beautiful spot to do photos.
Between the amazing view from Polhawm Fort, the perfect weather, and the fantastic group of friends. Sophia and James’s wedding day went perfectly, and was an total joy to photograph. To top off the perfect day, we were treated to the most amazing sunset over the water. Definitely photographing Sophia and James, while watching that amazing sunset over the water was one of my favourite memories of the year.
