Hever Castle is a wedding photographers dream venue. It has so much historic charm and stunning backdrops that it’s almost impossible to take a bad photo. Huong and Richard picked to have most of their wedding day in the impossibly beautiful Italian Gardens of Hever Castle. Their guests walked through beautifully manicured garden to get to the covered Italian Loggia over looking the lake.
Richard, the groom, is a fellow wedding photographer. And it’s so incredibly flattering to be asked by another wedding photographer to document their own wedding.
The first part of the day was Huong and Richard’s wedding day started with the door games- which is always a blast to photograph. The groom and his groomsmen need to work through a series of “exercises” designed by the bridesmaids. Afterwards, they headed to the Japanese Patagonia on the lake of Hever Castle for photos of the traditional tea ceremony.
After the door games and tea ceremony were finished, everyone went back to prepare for the english civil ceremony that was to be held in Hever Castle’s Italian Gardens.
Richard and Huong- Thank you so much for having my second shooter, Irene, and myself be apart of your wedding. I know photography was such an important part of your wedding, and I so honoured that you would have me be apart of it.
If you fancy watching some wedding video- check out Huong and Richard’s highlight video from The Little Picture Studio. You can even see me in my stripy top photographing the ceremony :D
