The morning began with Gabriella and Brad getting ready at the luxurious Apex Temple Court Hotel. They had taken over two suites, and both suites were overflowing with excitement. I loved shooting in these spaces, and especially taking advantage of the dark hallways with stunning window light coming through the side. After everyone was ready to go, we headed to the Church.
St. Etheldreda’s Roman Catholic Church is a hidden gem tucked away on Ely Place in London. While it isn’t the oldest church in the city, its nearly 900-year history makes it one of the most remarkable. For a time, it was even the oldest Catholic church in the UK. It’s a timeless building, with its ancient stone walls, wood carvings, and stunning stained glass windows. Despite its location amidst the hustle and bustle of Central London, the interior feels serene and peaceful.
Gabriella and Brad’s wedding ceremony was stunning. They embraced the church’s historic charm and amplified it with gorgeous sound of a full choir. The music filled the space, adding an ethereal quality to an already stunning setting.
Beneath the main chapel lies the crypt of St. Etheldreda’s, a stone-walled room that feels both historic and intimate. With its striking arches and alcoves, the crypt has an enchanting quality that makes it a perfect venue for celebrations.
The wedding breakfast was held in this remarkable space, and catered by the renowned Bleeding Heart Restaurants, the exclusive vendor for the crypt. Gabriella and Brad transformed the room into something magical, adorning the historic setting with fairy lights and stunning indoor tree’s with hanging candles as centre pieces. The combination of soft lighting and the crypt’s natural ambiance created a warm, romantic atmosphere that made the reception unforgettable.
Gabriella and Brad, Thank you so much for having myself and my assistant be apart of your wedding day. It was such a fun day to be apart of and there was so much love in the room.
