Shooting Chris and Kat’s wedding at Carlton Towers felt like an absolute dream for me. As someone who’s a huge nerd for historical architecture, this venue was everything I could have hoped for and more. Carlton Towers truly ticks all the boxes – from its intricate woodworking to the overall grandeur of the space. The blend of beautiful light streaming through its windows, the richness of its textures, and the fact that it remains a private home adds a special, intimate charm that’s hard to find elsewhere.
While the iconic clocktower was unfortunately covered in scaffolding due to some essential restoration work, it didn’t take away from the breathtaking beauty of the rest of the building. The character of Carlton Towers still shone through in every corner, making it an absolute joy to photograph.
I was beyond thrilled to be part of Chris and Kat’s big day, capturing both photo and video. Their wedding couldn’t have come together more perfectly and you really couldn’t ask for a more welcoming and wonderful group of people.
