Jodi and Ellie met while working at a vintage cinema, The Phoenix, in London.  They bonded over their love of movies and TV, games and drinking lots of coffee.   Their love of the cinema is what lead them to choose The Cinema Museum for their wedding venue.

The Cinema Museum in London is a fantastic and a bit unusual place for wedding.  Chocked full of incredible Cinema History, from movie posters to projectors, the entire building is a treasure trove of nerdy cinema goodness.  The building itself is even the victorian workhouse that Charlie Chaplin spent some of his childhood.  It made an incredible backdrop for a wedding.

Jodi and Ellie opted to have a quick registry office ceremony for the legal bits, and then have a big personal ceremony with all of their friends and family together.  Having a personal ceremony such as there is a great way to put your own stamp on a wedding and make it really unique.  After their ceremony on the stage, the bride and groom joined their guests to watch a Buster Keaton short filmed based around a wedding.   After the ceremony, the main room was turned into their wedding breakfast and party.

Jodi and Ellie- Thank you so much for having me be apart of your incredible wedding! It was an awesome day and such an honour to be apart of it.

Just a quick side note, if you’ve take a look at this blog post and have fallen in love with this incredible place, please do sign the petition to help save the Cinema Museum.
