Where are you based?
I live in London, England, however I frequently travel for weddings throughout the UK and abroad.
How much do you charge?
My coverage ranges from two hour civil ceremony coverage to multi-day events. I always aim to include everything you may need in your package, including travel throughout the UK, edited and retouched digital images, an online proofing gallery and high resolution images. For detailed pricing information and to confirm your wedding date is available, pop me an email.
If you’re planning an affair that differs from the traditional schedule, I’m happy to create a custom quote for exactly what you’re looking for.
How do we book you?
Shoot me a message to check that your wedding date is still available. After that, we can meet up for a free consultation over a cup of coffee and talk about your wedding! If you’re not local to the London area, we can still have a face-to-face chat over Skype or Google Hangout.
When you’re ready to reserve the date, I require a 30% deposit and a signed contract to make everything official.
Do you charge for travel?
I include travel and accommodation throughout the UK for the your wedding day in my full-day packages whether it’s travel to the north of England or even all the way down south to Cornwall. For engagement sessions and hourly mid-week wedding coverage, I may charge extra for travel outside of London depending on the location. If you’re further afield, I’m happy to travel for your destination wedding. I offer a flat rate “european coverage” option that is just one fee that covers all travel costs.
Are you available on my wedding date?
Maybe! Please shoot me an email and I’ll message you back right away. I do generally book about a year in advance for popular Saturdays. However, I do sometimes have some last minute availability, so get in touch just in case!
Are you insured?
Yes! Most definitely! I have full equipment and public liability insurance. Even if you do not choose me as your wedding photographer, please ask this question to your prospective photographer, as this is very important.
What happens if you get sick?
I’ve never missed a wedding (cross fingers, touch wood!). I do spend a lot of time networking with other photographers throughout the UK . I know if something happened to me, I would be able to call on a photographer I trust to cover me.
Part of the benefit of selecting a two photographer package is that there is a backup already in place if something might happen on the day.
Will you be the photographer with us on our wedding day?
Most definitely! Depending on the size of the wedding, I will have a second photographer with me. This will always be another photographer that I trust and has a high quality standard.
Can I obtain copyright for my images?
Like most professional photographers, I do maintain the copyright to the images. If you have privacy concerns, and would not like your images appearing online, please let me know. We can discuss a privacy clause to be included in your contract that can address your concerns.
Do you do other events besides weddings?
I also love photographing portrait sessions! I’m happy to cover any event :)
Do I need to provide a shot list for my wedding?
I have photographed many weddings, so I do know what photographs need to be included in your final set of images. I do work with you on the formal family photographs to decide what groups have the most sentimental value and how we can work it into your time frame.
Do you provide black and white images?
I most certainly do. I photograph all images in colour and then convert certain images to black and white during my editing process. You are welcome to request black and white copies of images in your proofing gallery.
How are my images delivered?
Images are delivered via direct download from your viewing gallery. You can also opt to have a copy of the images delivered on a keepsake USB.
Can I order prints and albums?
Prints can be ordered through the online gallery. One nice feature of the online gallery is that you can share the password protected link with your family and friends, and you don’t need to worry about distributing the pictures to them.
I also do sell beautiful bespoke albums if you’re interested in having a lovely handmade album as a heirloom.
How do you protect my privacy as a client?
From storing your important data to showing and sharing images online, your privacy and your rights to privacy are incredibly important to me.
I will never give your details out to a third party or put your name on a mailing list. The information I collect as a part of your inquiry and booking process is needed to make sure I have all of the important details of your wedding day. You can request your images to be removed from my website at any time, or ask for the accompanying text to be anonymous.
Questions from Photographers:
I’d like to learn more about wedding photography, can I 2nd shoot for you?
I’m so glad you’re excited to learn more about wedding photography. Unfortunately I only use a small select group of experienced professional photographers as second shooters at a wedding. On occasion, I have opportunities for non-shooting assistants to come along on a shoot or a wedding. Please feel free to ask me anything regarding getting started. I promise I’m friendly and I won’t bite!
I offer 1-to-1 training and feedback. Please message me for more information and pricing!
What equipment do you use?
Mid-2017 I switched from Nikon Full Frame cameras to Sony Mirrorless Cameras. So at the moment, my portfolio is split between Images taken with Nikon and Sony. Any current blog post however will be 100% shot with Sony Cameras.
Who designed your website?
All of the graphics are done by the lovely and amazingly talented Claire of Foxtail Design Co.
If I haven’t answered your question here, please don’t hesitate to contact me! I’d love to hear more about how you’re planning your special day.
Cheers! – Kari
