John and Emily had their fantastic wedding in the beautiful town of Pett, in East Sussex, quite close to the coast. Emily got ready that morning in her Grandfather’s cottage with her friends and family then popped off to the local church for their ceremony .
Emily is a florist, and her and her floristry friends put together all of the stunning flowers for the wedding. John and his best man even keep bee’s, and use their honey as guest gifts and made honey beer for the bar. They even had a cake competition for their guests to bring a cake, and the winner, by a guest button vote, would be the official wedding cake.
During the portraits, Emily and John mentioned there was a lake with a small boat on the grounds of the farm. Once we saw the boat, we saw that that it wasn’t in the cleanest condition, but that didn’t phase Emily and John in the slightest. The fact they were so keen to hop in and go for a spin around the lake is a testament to their awesome character. The rest of the day went without a hitch. As the sun set, all of their friends set out for an amazing party (aided with plenty of John’s honey beer), and those who weren’t on the dance floor enjoyed a fireside chat.
Emily and John- Thank you so much for having me, and my second shooter Matthew at your wedding. It was an absolutely fantastic day and I’m so proud to be able to deliver these images to you.
Big shout out to the fantastic vendors for this wedding. All of them were a joy to work with:
